Angela Caputo is a Social Work intern working with Mrs. Carbone this academic school year. She is in her second year of her master's degree and is attending Springfield College in Springfield MA. Ms. Caputo is pursuing her MSW and has an anticipated graduation date of May 2018. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven CT in May of 2016. Ms. Caputo was raised in Seymour CT and was a graduate of Seymour High School in 2012. Currently, she works for SONCCA (Seymour Oxford Nursery Child Care Association), a before and after school program within the elementary schools in Seymour and Oxford. She has a strong interest in working with children at all levels and hopes to work in a school system upon graduation. Ms. Caputo is very eager to work and continue learning with Ms. Carbone and all of the other staff at DHS!

Adam Baker is a School Counseling Intern from Southern Connecticut State University, where he is pursuing a Master’s of Science in School Counseling. He is in the final year of his program with an anticipated graduation date of May 2018. Mr. Baker graduated from Quinnipiac University (Hamden, CT) in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Systems Management. He is also a 2006 graduate of Holy Cross High School (Waterbury, CT). After he graduated from Quinnipiac University, Mr. Baker worked in the insurance field for several years before deciding to pursue a degree in School Counseling. Mr. Baker completed his practicum at North End Middle School (Waterbury, CT) in the spring of 2017 and has volunteer experience at Driggs Elementary School, Sacred Heart High School and Holy Cross High School, all in Waterbury, CT. He also worked part-time at the Republican-American Newspaper for six years as a sports assistant, dealing primarily with high school sports.

Nicole Breault is a Social Work intern working at Derby High School this school year. Ms. Breault graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts with her bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies. Prior to coming to DHS, she worked at Life Care in Shelton, Connecticut for two years in the Parenting and Education department. Ms. Breault is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Social Work at Southern Connecticut State University with an anticipated graduation date of May 2019.
